On Monday, June 21 Speaker of the House, Catherine Hanaway was at the Stone County Courthouse conducting a round-table discussion with area citizens. Hanaway is the first ever woman speaker and the first Republican in 48 years in Missouri . After the discussion she walked across the street to the Dynatek headquarters and presented owners, Jim Conti and his wife Elaine a Missouri House of Representative’s House Resolution for their work in the field of medical testing equipment. Dynatek is recognized the world-over as a leader in contract testing and testing equipment manufacturing.

Whereas , it is with genuine pleasure that the Missouri House of Representatives pauses in its diverse daily endeavors in order to acknowledge a milestone event in the history of one of the Show-Me State’s most esteemed commercial ventures, Dynatek Dalta Scientific Instruments of Galena; and
Whereas , Dr. Elaine R. Strope and Dr. James C. Conti acquired Dynatek Dalta Scientific Instruments from Professor Milton Swanson in 1984 when the company was literally a one-man operation which focused on heart valve testing; and
Whereas , today’s Dynatek Dalta Scientific Instruments is an industry leader in fatigue and durability testing for a host of cardiovascular implants and has a customer base which spans the globe; and
Whereas , from its humble office building on the Galena town square, Dynatek Dalta Scientific Instruments supports its worldwide operation through corporate offices, contract testing, and testing equipment manufacturing facilities; and
Whereas , Dynatek Dalta Scientific Instruments also maintains a satellite installation which houses the company’s mock vessel production operation where futuristic models of vasculature are created for use in flow models and durability testing apparatus and as education models; and
Whereas , Dynatek Dalta Scientific Instruments recently enhanced its already exemplary record of achievement when it received a well-deserved United States Marine Corps Certificate of Accommodation for support of the officers and soldiers of Weapons Company, 3 rd Battalion, 24 th marines in Iraq; and
Whereas , on June 21, 2004 , Dynatek Dalta Scientific Instruments will celebrate the Twentieth Anniversary of its ownership by Dr. Elaine Strope and Dr. James Conti whose entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen, and scientific knowledge have made the company one of Missouri ‘s premier institutions:
Now, therefore, be it resolved that we, the members of the Missouri House of Representatives, Ninety-second General Assembly, join unanimously to applaud the impressive accomplishments garnered by the owners and employees of Dynatek Dalta Scientific Instruments thus far in its history and to convey to all of those involved this legislative body’s heartiest congratulations as they celebrate the Twentieth Anniversary of the founding of their manufacturing and research enterprise; and
Be it further resolved that the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House of Representatives be instructed to prepare a properly inscribed copy of this resolution in honor of Dynatek Dalta Scientific Instruments of Galena, Missouri.
