Cardiovascular Pulse Duplicator

The MP4 is the newest in a proud line of biomechanical simulators for testing that requires accurate cardiovascular pulse duplication. It is the culmination of 20 years of experience and research and represents the state-of-the-art in a robotic cardiovascular system. There are three main elements that contribute to the versatility and realistic nature of the pressure-flow characteristics of this system.

The first is a computer-controlled rolling piston-actuated ventricle that allows a nearly infinite combination of pulse rate, volume per pulse, and duty cycle, leading to a large array of pressure-flow characteristics. The second and even more impressive contribution is the use of Dynatek-built silicone mock aortas that are fabricated from live human MRI data. The MP4 can even be outfitted with aortic segments that contain aneurysms. These Bio-Tune®™ arterial segments perform in a nearly perfectly natural way, giving pressure-flow characteristics hard to attain in the past.

Lastly, state-of-the-art data acquisition makes analysis of test data, including heart valve performance data, as easy as it has ever been.

Whether you need a pulse duplicator to evaluate the performance of heart valves or other cardiovascular product that requires a natural and yet nearly infinitely tunable instrument, the MP4 is for you.
